Highland Island Officially Approved as a Historical Marker

 |

Wick's in the Highlands was thrilled to donate to such an amazing cause when the Original Highlands Neighborhood Association was working to erect a historical marker at the Highland Island.

"Next year, our neighborhood will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the dedication of the Highland Island and its large sculpture that is its signature centerpiece, situated at the corner of Winter and Baxter Ave.  The marker has been formally approved by the Kentucky Historical Society, and will briefly describe the origins of the neighborhood and early history.
