Southern Sirens is an all-female pop/Americana trio based out of the Louisville, KY area. This all-female trio performs a plethora of genres in their originals and covers giving each song their own distinctive sound with a unique instrumental blend primarily of violin, percussion/drums, guitar, and vocals.

 

 Conceived in December 2013, Southern Sirens has already accomplished much in a short time. In May 2014 this all group was flown to L.A. after being selected as a Top 70 Act for ABC's Rising Star on Season 1. The girls won 6th place in the Pepsi’s Southern Original Competition at the Gulf Coast Jam Festival out of over 6,000 entries in September 2015. Other performance highlights include: 

 

  • In July 2015, Southern Sirens played a one week tour in California including an appearance at The International Pop Overthrow Festival in Los Angeles.

 

  • In June 2015, Southern Sirens played BIGFOOT Music & Outdoors CMA week Showcase in Nashville, TN.

 

  • In February 2015, Southern Sirens made their Canada debut playing the Urban Gala for the Windsor White Eagles Soccer League.

 

  • In October 2014 Southern Sirens were the featured entertainers for the official VIP Party Reception for the 'Louder Than Life' Festival. They will be returning for 2015.

 

  • In October 2014 Southern Sirens had a successful cross country mini tour to the Woodsongs Coffeehouse Sessions in Ogden UT, Cowboy Saloon in Laramie WY, Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen CO, and the Ozark Arts and Craft Festival in Fayetteville AR.

 

  • In September 2014 Southern Sirens were featured in the opening performance with Michael Fitzpatrick (world renowned cellist: Dali Lama and Hollywood Bowl), CJ Vanston (multi Grammy-nominated producer, film composer, session keyboard player and songwriter), and the West Louisville Boys and Girls Choir at the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards.

 

  • In September 2014 Southern Sirens performed as one of two opening acts (the other being the Temptations Review) for Bruno Mars as part of the Congo 14 Festival.

 

  • In September 2014 Southern Sirens opened for Carlene Carter, June Carter Cash's daughter, at Livenation's Mercury Ballroom.

 

 Other notable recent festival and special event appearances include Abbey Road on the River, Livenation’s Mercury Ballroom: MERCURY RISING Local Music Series, Owensboro Live @ 5, Newport on the Levee, Churchill Downs' Autumn N'Spires Festival, New Albany's Indiefest, Lower Town Art & Music Festival, and Gonzofest.

 

The core of Southern Sirens is Anna Blanton (violin, backup vocals), Emmy Bodner (lead vocals, guitar), and Kelsey Lee (drums, cajon, backup vocals).
